We will visit Eriksholm Research Centre, which is part of Oticon (and Demant). We have some interesting lectures and a tour of selected laboratories.
Eriksholm makes long-term research in hearing loss, cognitive load and associated treatment. Find more at https://www.eriksholm.com/. The group is highly international and the visit will therefore be in English. There will be a simple supply of fruit and cold drinks.
This visit is a joint project between DAS og Ingeniørforeningen i Danmark (IDA) Nordsjælland and is only open for members of these organisations. Admission is free.
Program (Preliminary):
- Introduction to Eriksholm and Demant.
- A brief history of Erikshol, Oticon and hearing aids.
- Acoustic testing of situational awareness.
- Measuring auditory distraction with EEG and pupillometry
- Noise-induced Voice Adaptations and their Effects on Speech Intelligibility and Cognitive Effort during Conversations.
- Visit to selected laboratories.
Language: The intended language for this event is English.
Transport: There is ample place for parking. Public transportatation is available by bus 353 from either Kokkedal or Helsingør. Alternatively, there is a 20 min walk from Snekkersten station. .
