DESCRIPTION:Everyone\, within their discipline — whether architecture\, u
 rban planning\, environmental design or noise reduction — plays a signif
 icant role in shaping the sound of a city. Yet\, a lot of work still needs
  to be done. How can we\, as a community of sound and noise professionals\
 , contribute to taking better control of the urban soundscape and support 
 sound design in noise policy?\n\nAs sound experts\, it’s in our DNA to 
 “listen to” buildings\, squares\, streets\, and landscapes — and exp
 lore how people interact with them — and to understand how this contribu
 tes to the city’s sound and identity. What are the potentials and citize
 n benefits of implementing this sound-aware knowledge in daily practice? A
 nd what will it take to consider and integrate this fully in noise policy?
  Those are just some of the questions treated.\n\nSoundscaping is the key 
 term.\nDuring this webinar\, we will discuss and illustrate how we define 
 and understand the notion of soundscaping. We invite all participants to j
