Purpose and registration

The DecoWind (Development of low-noise and cost-effective wind farm control technology) project, financed by Innovationsfonden (Denmark), has been running for the last 3 years. It is a collaboration between DTU Wind Energy, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, FORCE Technology, and EMD International. Its primary goal is to develop tools that can improve the planning phase of wind farms and their operations. This is handled both from an engineering perspective by improving noise propagation prediction models, allowing for an optimal design of wind farms including their noise impact, and from the neighbor perspective with a social impact study.

During this 3 ½ hours event, the main results of the project will be presented to the public on a general level, so that it is accessible to the main stakeholders and it remains informative for the specialists.

The event will take place on March 23rd, 2022 (1pm to 4:30pm, Danish time) at DTU-Risø campus in the Niels Bohr auditorium, but it will also be possible to attend online using a Zoom link that will be provided after registration. Registration is free of charge. However, it is mandatory to confirm your participation to this event using the following online registration form. Deadline for registration is March 7th!

More information about the project plan and vision at the start of the project can be found on this DTU Wind Energy news page and IFD website (in Danish). Additional information may be found on DTU, FORCE Technology and EMD International webpages.
